DIY | Update: Turning my Poinsettia Red

It has been more than a month. Let's just say it looked like something was happening. I was getting all excited. There was definitely some red starting. With it getting dark sooner, I thought moving it to the closet wouldn't be necessary anymore. Maybe it is not getting enough bright light during the day and too much at night with a grow light nearby. I watched a video of a timelapse of poinsettias turning red however it was a greenhouse and it took 2 months. Well, my goal was to keep it alive for a full year so not a total fail but looks like it is going to be greenish for Christmas. I still have hope. Here are pictures of when I first noticed some red in early November:

Checking today November 29 it has not changed much. Wah Wah.

Oh boo! I thought that red looked promising too.

Let's cross our fingers - there's always next year!

Yes, and I will automate the light versus trying to time it like this time. 😆
